From Iron Curtain to Wine Country

Born in the heart of socialist Hungary in 1975, I’ve witnessed firsthand the power of language to bridge cultural divides. My journey began in 1989, just as the Iron Curtain was crumbling, when I embarked on learning German. This early exposure ignited a lifelong passion for languages and the worlds they unlock.
After honing my skills in German and English, I ventured to Germany in 1999 to work as a transcriber for a patent advocate. This experience immersed me in the intricacies of technical language and laid the foundation for my future career.
My academic pursuits led me to the LMU in Munich, where I delved into computational linguistics, Italian philology, and German as a second language. A semester in Venice and a linguistic post-doctorate program in Barcelona further enriched my linguistic repertoire and cultural understanding.
For me, languages are more than just words; they’re gateways to understanding diverse cultures. As a translator, I’ve had the privilege of exploring the nuances of English, German, and Italian, and translating them into my native Hungarian.
I’m particularly drawn to the technical world of manuals and display strings. While others might find them mundane, I find them intellectually stimulating and rewarding. My love for wine and my certification as a sommelier have expanded my expertise into the realm of wine machinery and copywriting.
With a background in computational linguistics and a deep understanding of SEO, I’m well-equipped to create website content that is both informative and effective. I’m proficient in all the essential software and tools that ensure your translations are accurate, coherent, and optimized for search engines.
If you’re seeking a translator who is passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated to delivering exceptional results, I’m here to help. Let’s work together to bridge language barriers and achieve your communication goals.
